WTDirect’s Savings Account rate is INCREASING to 3.26% APY

As of yesterday, WTDirect Savings Account rate is officially increasing to 3.26% APY. This marks the first rate increase in 9 months! WTDirect’s rate continues to be in the top 5% of all banks.

HSBC posted an interest rate increase to 3.5% a few weeks ago. WTDirect is the second bank to post an increase for interest rates. This looks like good news, although the stock market continues to struggle.

HSBC Direct Online Savings APY Increase to 3.5%

HSBC DirectHSBC Direct increased their APY to 3.5%. This makes them one of the highest yielding online savings accounts. This is the first time in months that I’ve heard of any bank increasing their interest rates. This may be a good sign for more banks to follow their lead.

The market has been semi-steadily moving upward the past 3 months. Are things finally looking up? It’s hard to imagine things looking up with these rising gas prices.
